Ioannis Tallis

Ph.D Cultural Informatics (IT)

Biography

Ioannis Tallis completed his BSc and MSc at the Department of Cultural Technology and Communication of the University of the Aegean with specialization in cultural informatics. Under the scholarships of the “AG Leventis Foundation” and “Propontis Foundation”, he continued to a PhD thesis at 2007 and he graduated in 2014 from the University of the Aegean in collaboration with Kingston University in London.

Ioannis was a course instructor at the Department of Cultural Technology and Communication of the Aegean University in 2016/2018 and Teaching Fellow to Postgraduate Program Master in Tourism Management (MTM) at the Department of Business Administration of the University of Macedonia in 2017/2018. Today, he is instructor of the BA Animation & Interactive Media at AKTO – Middlesex University in Thessaloniki and a fellow researcher in European programs at the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki.

His science field is Information Technology Applications at the field of Cultural Representation and Interactive Storytelling. Particularly, the development of innovative IT systems with emphasis on cultural dissemination and networking, educational augmented reality technology and museology with interactive multimedia installations and applications.
